Chicago Hyundai Elantra Dealer Believes 2011 Sonata Updates Are In Character

By: Richard.Santiago Home | Automotive | Cars

Hyundai just keeps cranking out winners and the new 2011 Sonata is no exception. The new 2.0T is a turbocharged delight and Chicago Hyundai Elantra buyers will want to take a drive to see just how well it handles.
The pricing on this souped-up version is not your traditional Hyundai easy-on-the-wallet tag. This model all tricked out is about $30,000. The more affordable base model 2.0T is priced around $25,000, a bit more budget-friendly.
The ride is smooth, the engine is powerful with 274 horsepower and Chicago used Hyundai customers will appreciate the new design of the six-speed automatic transmission. No jerks or delays, just smooth transition that are hard to find these days.
There is even a Limited version of the 2.0T with wheel paddles for that fun finger-tip shift action. It will cost you, though. An Eco setting allows the driver to flip the transmission setting to fuel-saving mode, but the other mode is more fun.
The fuel economy is not for the green of heart †about 17 mpg in the test drive, but it’s aimed at drivers who want the sporting experience and the lower fuel economy is the price to be paid. The Eco setting will get you a very respectable 22 mpg city and 33 mpg highway. Much better news for the environment.
Chicago Hyundai Elantra buyers will appreciate the cushy seats and ample legroom in the back as well as the 16.4 cubic feet of trunk storage †something that was rather unexpected. And the trunk isn’t the only place you will find extra storage. The cute little cubbies and the center console provide places for phones, cups, sunglasses and any other item you may want to have at your fingertips while driving.
The Sonata went on sale in November and is a four-door with front-wheel drive. It is made at Hyundai’s plant in Montgomery, Alabama and pricing for the SE starts at $24,865, including the destination fee. The Limited will cost buyers $27,765.
Hyundai has gone out of its way to establish good relations with the American buyer and actually has a headquarters in California and manufacturing facilities in several states. Producing the Hyundai models right here in the states is not only cost-effective for the Korean maker, but goes a long way in public relations.
The 2011 Sonata is not your average ho-hum sedan and it will appeal to Chicago used Hyundai customers who want something fun as well as practical. It is definitely the family car of today and for the future with its plethora of options, available trims and now turbocharged engine.
Hyundai is an automaker to be reckoned with for sure. Can’t wait to see what they do next.
