Christians can be classified into a number of denominations like Episcopalian, assemblies of god, eastern orthodoxy, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, Roman Catholicism, and southern Baptist. Individuals and churches within each denomination often hold dissimilar beliefs. Evangelical Christian group generally believe in repenting and asking for forgiveness of sin. Evangelical Christian group generally believe that bible is god’s inspired word and is the basis of truth. Most Christians believe that if they do not repent their sins and trust the wording of Jesus, will go to hell.

Mainline Christian group consider the contributions of non-Christian religions and give value or merit to their teaching. Mainline Christians widely believe that if they do good work will determine their eternal destination. Liberal Christian group thinks that there is no such place as hell. They do not believe the concept that if you love god it would create an eternal destination for them. Anglican/Episcopalian has nearly 77 million. It was founded in 1534 by King Henry’s act of supremacy in England. Major founder of this denomination are Thomas crammer and Queen Elizabeth Anglican churches are mostly located in the United Kingdom, Europe, United States, Canada, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. I.

Assembly of God has 48 million believers, founded in late 1800’s, USA. This denomination was founded by Eudorus N. Bell and Charles fox Parham. Brazil has the maximum number of churches, with more than 8 million members. There are nearly 12,100 Assembly of God churches in the United States and some 236,022 churches and nearly 191 churches in other countries.
Baptist group has nearly 43 million believers. Baptist church was founded in separatist movement beginning in England in 1608. The major founders were john Smyth, Thomas Helwys, Roger Williams, Jonathan Edwards, and Shubael Stearns. More than 33 million Baptists live in America. Nearly 216, 00 live in Britain, 850,000 live in South America and 230,000 in Central America. Lutheran has 66 million believers. It was founded in Europe, early 1500. The major founder was Martin Luther. Nearly 36 Million Lutherans live in Europe, 13 million in Africa, 8.4 million in North America, 7.3 million in Asia, and 1.1 million in Latin America.

Methodist has 11 million believers. It was founded in mid 1700’s, England. The major founders were john Wesley, Charles Wesley, and George Whitefield. More than 8 million believers live in United States, and more than 2.4 million in Africa, Asia and Europe. Presbyterian has 75 million believers and founded in mid 1500’s, Switzerland. The major founders were John Calvin, and John Knox. Presbyterian churches are found mostly in United States, England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and France. Roman Catholic has more than a billion believers. It was founded in 380 A.D. The major founder of this denomination was Roman Bishop Leo I.
