The church has a circular shape and its dome is the 4th largest dome in the world. This church is famous because a bomb landed on the church during the second world war but did not explode. People in the church during that time were not hurt. Today, this famous and splendid bomb is on display.

This majestic, splendid and scenic church is Ta' Pinu. This church is isolated, and around it, there are no buildings. Smoke, traffic and noise is foreign to this church. The church offers a superb view of the Mediterranean and it is surrounded by terraced fields. There are white marble statues on the right of the basilica. This is to symbolize the stations of the cross.
