Clear Your Clutter With Feng Shui

By: Kelvin Ho Home |

Your home or whatever space you occupy can over a period of time become so cluttered with unnecessary things that it blocks the good energy flow. It can actually drain your energy, making you tired and listless most of the time.In order to get your life in order, the first thing you need to do is clear your clutter with Feng Shui.

Clutter can be defined as anything that you do not use on at least a weekly basis. Naturally some things are not in this category, such as seasonal items. However having everything in its place can reduce the bad effects that are harbored by keeping a jumbled mess around you.

Most of the clutter consists of things that you have thought you would one day find a use for. How many times have you started to throw something out and then decided you may have a use for it some day? We are all guilty of doing this. The need to hoard things away for future use is more prevalent in some people than others. Many times people who grew up without the necessities are more likely to save things for a time when they may need them.

However the idea behind the theory is that when you clear your clutter with Feng Shui you will be happier and more affluent without all these things. Not just affluent in money but in other ways that will affect your total life. This can include not only your home but can carry over into your yard or patio. Or a front porch that is cluttered with odds and ends that you may never use.

Clarity of thought, more energy, and a sense of well being has been reported as a result of clearing your clutter with Feng Shui. The easiest way to start is to go through your home room by room and make a keep pile and a do-not-need-right-now pile. When you are finished, if you are honest with yourself, you will have a far larger do-not-need pile than a keep pile.

This is not to say you have to rid your home of everything. Just make sure you have an organized place to keep things. Organize your closets, your garage, your utility building, and storage places that can be used for things that are not in use on a regular basis.

A clear area especially at the entrance of your home, in your bedroom, and your kitchen allow for energy levels to flow bringing peace and clarity to your life. Things that keep you from enjoying the present and looking forward to the future are seriously debilitating.

It is fine to hold on to memories, however you cannot live in the past. So when we say clear your clutter with Feng Shui, not only are we talking about physical clutter but mental as well. A clear mind is open to new ideas and ways of doing things that may make your life more enjoyable. Many people have opted for practicing Feng Shui and the results have been positive.
