Clothes Swapping And Second Hand Clothes - Never Buy New Again

By: Ceri Heathcote Home | Shopping-and-Products | Fashion-Style

Clothes swapping have become very popular lately and no wonder. Clothes swapping is fun and frugal, in fact it doesn't actually cost any money to swap clothes and you can refresh and update your wardrobe for free. Second hand clothes are also a great way to get a new wardrobe at a fraction of the cost of buying new clothes. So do you think it is possible to just wear second hand clothes and swap clothes, never buying new again? Why not give it a try?

Second clothes are a great way of reducing waste. By buying quality second hand clothes you are likely to get a lot better value for money than buying cheap poorly made clothes. It would be a shame for well made classic clothes to be just thrown away and sent to landfill when they could look gorgeously stylish on someone.

Clothing in landfill is now a huge problem in the UK with thousands of tonnes being dumped each year. Synthetic clothing does not break down and will remain on the ecosystem, even natural materials release methane, a green house gas as they break down.

There are so many second hand clothes around, you should be able to find just about anything that you want in your size, it just takes a bit more time than shopping for new clothes but it is well worth the effort. By buying second hand clothes and swapping instead of buying new, you will be helping to reduce the environmental impact associated with the manufacture of new clothing including pesticide pollution and carbon dioxide emissions.

You can try shopping round for second hand clothes to find exactly what you want. Car boot sales, vintage shops, charity shops and second hand clothing websites are all great places to hunt. Make it a habit to have a quick look at the local charity and second hand shops whenever you are in town.

Find out what styles of clothing really suit you by reading magazines and books. Once you have established what looks great on you all you need to do is look for the items that you need. When you get fed up with items in your wardrobe, it is simple, don't go and buy new just swap them or sell them and buy some more second hand clothes.
