Combination Skin Care

By: keelinorla Home | Health-and-Fitness | Beauty

Skin that is oily in some parts but dry or normal in others is considered as combination skin. On most days, your skin will probably feel normal or dry on most of your face and the oily part will be concentrated in the T-zone, the area across your forehead and down your nose and chin. This type of skin is very common, and it should be treated as if it were two different types of skin, so special attention is required because the dry parts of your face need to be considered, whereas the oily parts need to be kept clean to avoid breakouts.

The use of acne care products that are made for your particular skin type, like acne care natural skin products, can be rather effective in helping you maintain healthy skin. With such products, you will not be using anti oil treatments that are not oily, nor are you using dry skin treatments on oily skin. The kind of skin treatment you use, whether it is for acne or any other skin problem, should always be compatible with the kind of skin you have to give you the best possible results for your skin dilemma.

Look for combination skin products and use it 2 times a day. This will help combat the oily skin on the forehead, nose and chin and help keep other parts of the skin healthy. Make sure that you keep your face clean and free of residues at night.

A gentle toner can be used on the entire face. If oily areas are particularly greasy, you may want to have a separate toner designed for oily skin to eliminate the problem on certain days when there is increased sebum production.

You can tell if you've got combination skin by simply looking at your skin. Areas of the skin that look shiny tend to have a fair amount of blackheads and pimples. A woman's makeup won't last the day either without reapplying it. The dry parts of the skin appear flaky and dull with some irritation as well.

Always use a mild cleanser to remove dirt and oil from combination skin. Keeping it mild means it won't over dry the dry areas but will still remove oil from the oily areas. You can also find cleansers made specifically for combination skin, but make sure to read the label. Many combination skin cleansers are nothing more than a mild soap with a special name and increased price.

Most beauty supplement, contain a combination of sea marine extract such as seaweed and algae extracts, good vitamins such as vitamins A,C,E, nutritious ingredients such as soy, fruits and vegetables extracts, and antioxidant properties such as grape seed, green tea and other herbal ingredients. There are also some which contain traditional herbs such as aloe vera, ginkgo, ginseng, Chinese angelica, horsetail and pearl powder.

Sun exposure is the biggest factor in causing wrinkles, age spots, and dullness. While you may think that just walking to the car or running your daily errands on a sunny day doesn't count as sun exposure, you're wrong. Everyday before you leave the house, you should apply a SPF lotion, whether it be in your makeup or in your day cream, don't leave home without it.
