Commercial And Residential Home Theaters

By: Latif Nasir Home | Home-and-Family | Home-Improvement

One of the basic differences between commercial and residential home theaters is that commercial systems are more powerful as they are used mainly for conventions and conference. The components in commercial and residential home theaters are almost the same although in custom residential home theaters, the components can be far more. In commercial home theaters, the components would differ from one set-up to another depending on the requirement or need.

Commercial home theater systems can vary from a basic system with a projector screen; surround speakers, and projector to an elaborate state of the art system for boardroom meetings or client presentations. Depending on your requirement, you can even opt for a custom commercial home theater system that will incorporate new technology and equipment.

Here are the basic components and services required for commercial TV monitor installation
â€A Plasma television that has to be installed on a table stand or the wall
â€If you need a projector screen then it will need to be installed
â€Plasma Screen Color Calibration
â€Installation as well as integration of various audio and video components or equipments including in-wall speaker systems
â€Integration of different types of video systems as a part of the commercial and residential home theaters like Plasma, LCD, DLP, HD-ILA, LCoS, or any standard tube television.
â€Programming of the universal remote control

In order to install commercial and residential home theaters, you will need to buy a system based on certain considerations like:

Size of the room: For residential home theaters, you need to identify the room where you want to set up the system. For commercial systems, you need to identify the objective (conference, board room meeting, client presentations etc) and the place (office, third party location etc). Space is very important for a successful installation. The larger the area/room; the better the sound effects will be.

Cost: The cost of commercial or residential home theaters will be directly proportional to the space and the number of equipments or components. If you want to install a projector, projector screen, and surround sound speakers then the cost will be lesser than installing a flat plasma television with amplifiers and surround sound speakers. The cost will also be dependent on whether you opt for a simple screen, a projector screen, multi-room system, audio requirements and sound solutions, lighting designs that will vary from simple stage lights to intelligent and elaborate fixture designs, media closets and much more.

Components/Equipments: The type and brand of equipments you install as a part of the commercial and residential home theaters is something that you need to identify right at the beginning of the process. If you have a small home then having a large Plasma TV and small sets of several speakers should be enough but if you are planning to install it in a huge living room then you will need to understand the dynamics of audio and video. You can take help from some of the professionals who can offer sound advice on the type of audio and video and how the entire system be made effective. You can embed speakers within the wall or place them outdoors as well. Personalization of the home theater system installation can be done with utmost ease.
