We live in a day and age where technology is more accessible to us than ever before, and our means of communicating to anyone at any time and anywhere is more possible than it ever has been. Today, our telephone system has become extremely clogged due to the high number of cell phone users in our society. It is speculated that more individuals own their own cell phone now than have a land line at home. The cell phone has become such a necessary part of our lives these days that most won't leave home without it. One of the many advantages of the cell phone, is to use it when you are on the go and still need to communicate. The unfortunate aspect of this on the go communication is the fact that many people are using cell phones while driving. Research has suggested that cell phone use while driving, whether that is through text messaging, sending an IM, or talking on the phone, will impair a driver's ability to concentrate to greater depths than drinking and driving. Due to these studies, states across the nation are implementing cell phone laws which ban the use of cell phones while operating a vehicle. This means that citizens of the states that carry these cell phone laws will have to use a hands free method of using their cell phone while driving, or else not use a cell phone at all. Be warned, if your state has these laws they are not soft on penalties, and you can and will be pulled over and charged if you are caught driving while using a cell phone. However, do not let this detour you from using your favorite technology while you are on the road. Many companies today are offering alternatives that will allow you to use your cell phone or portable hand set hands free. The most common method today of hands free dialing and talking on the phone is the Bluetooth adapter set. When Bluetooth first started, this technology was only available on newer and more elite phone models, however due to the pressing nature of cell phone laws and bans, almost every phone on the market is enabled with Bluetooth technology that will allow you to use a Bluetooth adapter and still talk on the phone. The most common kind of Bluetooth adapter is a plug and play variety that will be compatible with your Bluetooth headset. This will make it very easy to receive both incoming and outgoing calls without once having to take your hands off the steering wheel, or even take your eyes off of the road. This kind of adapter will allow your phone to broadcast over any kind of programming that is on your radio thus, you will not have to worry about any lost calls. This is only one of the many kinds of Bluetooth adapters on the market today. Depending on your phone, there are many varieties available to suit your needs. If you are a heavy driver and use your phone while driving, a Bluetooth adapter is a definite must to protect yourself and other drivers on the road and in some states, may be mandatory.
