When it comes to food and low blood sugar, there are countless books and expert opinion on the subject. There have been many different types of diets, some even the exact opposite of others, that claim lowers blood sugar the best. This can cause much confusion when trying to figure out the best diet plan to lower blood sugar.

However different these diets are, they must all have some truth to it. Most of these diets claim to lower blood sugar best not through what you eat, but rather what you eliminate. Eliminating foods such as white flour, sugar, caffeine, alcohol and tobacco is a great start to lowering blood sugar, which ever diet you choose.

These diet plans can essential be seen as cookie cutter diet. Meaning that they are general advice for you to take in, but to get optimal results its best to create your own shape with these diets. Take in the best advice that works for you and mix it with another diet plan that is similar and has other aspects that work best to your specific health needs.

The part of a diet book or doctor's advice you should must take notice of is the list of foods not to eat. Although it may be unrealistic to not eat everything that's listed, it helps you to keep these foods in moderation, which is very important when lowering your blood sugar.

In addition, listen to your body because it will give you signs should you take in food that lower blood sugar that it cannot tolerate.

Another thing most diets give advice on is to keep a food diary. A food diary that includes all the foods and medicines you intake and recording how you feel physically when you took those foods and meds is a great way to get a measure on how your body reacts to certain things.

Once you realize what foods react negatively to you from your food diary, you can start to eliminate those foods which are detrimental to your health. Try to seek medical advice while in the process of wedding out the hazards in your diet just to make sure you aren't losing any other nutrients from that particular food.

Another little tidbit is to keep your blood sugar stable at all times. Keep foods readily available whether you are at home or on the go.

Following these few steps are a great way to stabilize your blood sugar. Consult your physician for a proper way to start a better lifestyle for your specific condition.
