So now let’s get down to the making sushi rice recipe:

1. Put the sushi rice in and bowl and mix with cold water to rinse the sushi rice. Drain the bowl and repeat this process 2-3 times to properly wash the sushi rice.


2. Measure how much sushi rice you will need according to your sushi recipe and place that amount into the rice cooker. Add the requirement amount of water to the sushi rice.


3. Bring the water to a bowl, the rice cooker will do this for you and let the sushi rice absorb all the water. Keep in heat for 10-13 minutes.


4. Remove the sushi rice from the heat and let it stand for another 10-15 minutes making sure the bowl is covered.


5. Now add your sushi rice vinegar to the sushi rice using a wooden spoon to help spread.


6. Let the sushi rice cool and covered until it is cool to the touch.
