Costa Maya Real Estate Search - Trip Planning Guide

By: Christine Harrell Home |

If you've heard and read all about the incredible investment opportunity of Costa Maya real estate, you're probably ready to check out the area. After all, the opportunity seems too good to be true with 57 miles of virtually uninhabited Caribbean coastline, property prices as low as $65,000 per lot, and a government funded project to boost tourism and property value. The window of opportunity is very real but closing quickly.

Where to begin:
The Costa Maya properties for sale are located about 80 miles south of Cancun, so you're best bet is to take a commuter plane to Majahual at the southern tip of the Costa Maya. Now is the time to shed your overly ambitious time schedule and adopt the more relaxed "manana" philosophy of Caribbean Mexico. Before you set off, take some time to explore this quaint little fishing town that is rapidly growing in the wake of the Costa Maya gold rush.

After a relaxing meal of delicious Mexican cuisine, you'll need to rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle for getting around on the beachfront road. Currently, El Tucan de Costa Maya is the only rental car agency in the area. However, like everything in the region, this industry is growing rapidly.

Getting around:
When you come to check out the Costa Maya properties you'll probably want to explore the miles of pristine coastline. While there is a main highway that runs north and south through the region, it's a few miles off of the coast and won't give you a good view of the Costa Maya beachfront properties for sale.

To see the properties, you'll want to take the beach road which actually cuts right through the properties themselves. The road is unpaved and bumpy, which is when you're 4 wheel drive vehicle will come to the rescue.

Rest and Relaxation:
While driving the Costa Maya coastline, take the time to stop, feel the sand between your toes, and wade in the ocean. Time is slower here, perhaps because there is so much to take in and enjoy. Let yourself dream; image where your house might sit on your Costa Maya property and what you could do all day with your own private Caribbean beach. The prices are inexpensive enough to truly dare to dream.

The Costa Maya region ends around the town of Tulum which is a great place to stop and spend some time. The Maya Tulum Wellness Retreat and Spa is a wonderful place to stay and is an extension of the natural tranquility felt throughout this area. You'll sleep in a thatched roof cabana with a garden, beachfront, or ocean view. From here you may want to take a short excursion over to Cozumel and enjoy the natural beauty there.

You could easily spend a week or even a month here before turning around and driving through the Costa Maya properties once again. The only thing you'll want to move quickly on is talking with Trans Caribbean Trust about purchasing one of the remaining Costa Maya properties. With only 57 miles of beachfront property, the opportunity won't be around for long.
