Courier Services Could Play Big Role In Jobs Growth Plan

By: Rick Dahne Home | Business

The UK government's economic growth plan is currently the subject of considerable scrutiny as some people believe that the ideas being implemented by the coalition, most notably the dramatic scaling back of public sector investment, is having a detrimental impact on the country.

However, prime minister David Cameron has spoken out in defence of his vision, saying that the way to drive the nation forward is by focussing on small and medium-sized firms. Often, such organisations make use of courier services, meaning parcel couriers and other such people may play a significant role in Britain's eventual return to financial stability.

According to the politician, who has been in charge of the country for almost a year now, having assumed his role on May 11th 2010, the only way forward is to get behind entrepreneurs.

He described this month's Budget as the "most pro-growth this country has seen for a generation" and pledged a "fundamental rebalancing of our economy". Mr Cameron suggested there would be less debt, greater saving, reduced borrowing, more investment and less dependence on financial services.

The coalition is promoting the rise in prominence of manufacturing firms, many of which make use of courier services such as parcel couriers to help them get their goods to their intended destinations.

He stated he wants to promote in people "the spark of initiative" and the "the hard work to see it through". The politician added: "There's only one strategy for growth we can have now and that is rolling up our sleeves and doing everything possible to make it easier for businesses to grow, to invest, to take people on."

The prime minister went on to state: "Back small firms. Boost enterprise. Be on the side of everyone in this country who wants to create jobs, and wealth and opportunity."The UK government's economic growth plan is currently the subject of considerable scrutiny as some people believe that the ideas being implemented by the coalition, most notably the dramatic scaling back of public sector investment, is having a detrimental impact on the country.
