When you move into a new house, the one room that is usually in need of a revamp is the bathroom. Suites that are already in the room may be either an old colour that was popular in the 1970’s or have possibly been damaged. If there is a shortage of space in a bathroom or the layout has not been used to its best advantage, this is the time to look at your bathroom as being a blank canvas. Working with a blank canvas in bathrooms allows a person to run riot with their creativity. However space for storage is as important as the bathroom suites themselves. A pictured bathroom works well, with a large cupboard at a lower level for hiding toiletries. The cupboard doors are without handles and can be painted to blend in with any dcor. When allowing for shelving or cabinets in bathrooms remember to make a decision about bathroom accessories such as a modern heated towel rail. Positioned over a bathroom radiator, a heated towel rail will bring a bit of glamour to a bathroom. If everything is fixed on one wall it can become cluttered. Two sinks are practical for family bathrooms and are fashionable with any house buyers. Most bathroom suites can be purchased with an additional wash basin on request. It is important to have the space in a bathroom for a larger bath if you are fitting two basins to bring in some balance to the room. Taps should be accessorised to compliment all the dcor of a bathroom. When looking at wall and floor coverings, use materials that are waterproofed.
