Creating Good Branding Through Brochures

By: Robert Johnston Home | Business | Advertising

When it comes to business brand, it’s not all about the logo, the models or the slogans used. It is about you and your business. It’s what you do or say in every aspect of your business. It’s about the relationships built and maintained, the way you treat your customers. It’s about the rapport created where trust is established.

Sounds easy to do, right? But all these would take a lot of time and effort to build. There is, however, an easy way to achieve good branding, through well thought and designed business brochures. Brochures are actually used in promoting a business and its products and services. Over the years, business owners have trusted on this marketing tool to woo in customers and build long term relationship with them.

A good and persuasive brochure though takes more than an attractive cover and images to build the rapport you need with your customers. You need to have a well thought design that would easily convey your message. The brochure itself should easily influence the senses and encourage customers to contact you. The best way to do that is by creating a brochure design that focuses on three C’s: color, concept, and content:

Color. Colors, just like pictures, say a thousand words. A simple color can say a lot about your products or services. It conveys different moods and feelings that speak a lot about your business image. This is why color choices are integral in the success of your brochure. Colors have different meaning. For instance, red is the color of passion and excitement. It easily stirs up emotion and grabs attention. Yellow is the color of creativity as it represents happiness. And black represents power and drama. If you want a serious and strong image, use black to convey a sophisticated appeal. Just make sure to choose vibrant colors to give your brochures a happy and inviting look. When chosen properly, you can create a powerful brochure campaign based simply on a strong color scheme.

Concept. As with any material, it is important to create a concept with which to base your brochure design. A solid concept will help you produce a well rounded campaign that will help your target customers easily grasp your message. Likewise, a single concept will allow you to develop a unified marketing campaign that will give you wide options in creating an iconic design in situations that demand for it. A well thought of concept will push your campaign to success and attract positive business perceptions. This will surely enhance your brand to make your business more appealing to your target customers.

Content. There is nothing more important in a business brochure printing than a clear, concise, and focused content. A good content gets right down to business going straight to what customers want. When you create content, your goal is to tell a story more than get a message a across. You need to do storytelling in your brochure. You can do it by telling the same story repeatedly in different ways, or present a mystery that tells of a different story in each print, but all comes down to a single story. The role of the customer is to complete the story and their prize is the benefit they get from the product or services.

Remember though that in your brochure prints you need to project your personality effectively to gain advantage over your competitors. Use this advantage over and over again and you are sure to create a good business brand.
