Customer Reviews: A Word-of-mouth Advertising

By: Amy Swan Home | Shopping-and-Products

Time keeps going while changing trends. What’s IN today may be OUT tomorrow. And so is happening in the progressive online shopping industry. Study shows that online shoppers in UK are turning to Consumer Reviews more than expert reviews when searching for desired products. Not only do customer reviews help convert potential customers when they visit a website, but they have also set a trend for buyers who now prefer websites which display product reviews before settling on any purchase.

Customer Reviews: A Foundational Element of Online Shopping

Customer Reviews are a foundational element of online shopping strategies which help evolving new trends (e.g. using social networking media to your advantage). It’s imperative for retailers to build the foundation for TRUST by providing a collective voice. This can conveniently be done by integrating a variety of perspectives.

Since Consumer Reviews are clearly in control of their shopping experiences, present unbiased content, comprising both positive and negative reviews help shoppers figure out the right product for them. And, as customers’ expectations continue to rise, retailers need to display Customer Reviews in an easy-to-find and consume manner.

Should negative reviews be allowed to be displayed on the website?

Negative reviews certainly do well to a specific product. How? Repeated studies have shown that potential customers LOSE TRUST upon finding all positive reviews and believe that negative reviews are being filtered. This results in a lower conversion rate.

Presenting consumers’ voice through Reviews is an important tool towards helping customers shop, shop more and shop confidently. Now that people prefer to do researching online vs. in-store, Product Reviews provide supporting data that consumers’ expectations are at exciting crossroads. This makes customers trust the brand as well as company to display exemplary customer service skills.

In a nutshell, we say that Customer Reviews provide feedback to business owners about how their product is being perceived and service experienced. So, it’s about time to utilize Consumer Reviews tool to your advantage while proving customers that you value their opinions and listen to their concerns! If customers are turning to Consumer Reviews before settling on best products for themselves, you must let them; adhering to a new trend is in your best interest!
