Aside from their captivating women and intoxicating culture, India still has a lot more to offer the world in terms of cuisine and food. The goodness of Indian food has captivated not just the locals but the rest of the world as well. This is the very reason why even if you are halfway around the world, it is never too hard to find Indian food served in a corner restaurant. So for you foodies out there who plan to go out on an Indian culinary adventure, here are a few of the top Indian dishes that you can try today.

Buttered chicken
Buttered chicken is one of the top favorites and probably one of the most popular Indian foods loved by people from all over the world. The dish makes use of boneless and skinless chicken meat, seasoned with lime juice, chili powder, roasted over medium heat and added with a variation of spices and herbs. After which, the meat is spiced again with a series of herb, tomato paste and cooked in medium heat. The chicken is always served with its signature chili gravy along with black lentils and green salad.

Tandoori Chicken
Tandoori chicken has the taste that has conquered the world. It is made up of chicken strips that are seasoned with yoghurt and salt, grilled or baked. The dish is then garnished with lime juice and onion rings. Aside from it being delicious, the dish is unbelievably easy to make. The only down side to the dish is its preparation time, which can take up to as long as 18 hours. But after that, cooking can be done in just a matter of 15 minutes and you are good to enjoy one of the best Indian dishes.
Chicken Tikka Masala
Another chicken dish flavored with coriander and yoghurt is the Chicken Tikka Masala. The chicken is sliced into bits, skewered and roasted until brown. The dish is also accompanied with an oily gravy sauce mixed with onion, cardamom and garlic. The grilled tikkas are added on to the gravy and cooked until tender - for about 10 minutes. The dish is eaten best with Naas.

Rogan Josh
Rogan Josh is made out of lamb tenderized with yoghurt and infused with a glorious variety of Indian spices. They are added with beef stock and water to create the gravy sauce. To top it off, they are garnished with coriander and a vegetable dish. Rogan Josh is marked by its extremely beautiful aroma brought about by the chili. But if you do not fancy too much spice then don't skip this dish out just yet. In spite of the spicy ingredient, the spice of the dish does not "bite" as many would expect. Today, there are several versions of the dish - each with its own degree of spiciness and twists.
So for those of you who have fallen in love with Indian culture, then you are sure to go head over heels with this line of delicious Indian food. So the next time you head out to an Indian restaurant or better yet, visit the country, make sure that you never miss out on these must-eats.
