Diabetes is a illness in which your blood glucose, or sugar, levels are too high. Glucose comes from the foods you eat. Insulin is a hormone that helps the glucose get into your cells to give them energy.

With Type 1 diabetes, your body does not make insulin. With Type 2 diabetes, the more common type, your body does not create or use insulin well. Without sufficient insulin, the glucose stays in your blood.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a set of related disease in which the body cannot regulate the amount of sugar (specially, glucose) in the blood.

Causes of Diabetes

1.Age: Increased age is a factor which gives more likelihood than in younger age. This illness may occur at any age, but 80% of cases occur after 50 year, incidence increase with the age factor.

2.Poor Diet (Malnutrition Related Diabetes) : Improper nourishment, low protein and fiber eating, high intake of advanced products are the predictable reasons for developing diabetes.

3.Obesity and Fat Distribution: Being plump means increased insulin resistance that is if body fat is more than 30%, BMI 25+, waist grith 35 inches in women or 40 inches in males.

4.Sedentary Lifestyle: People with inactive lifestyle are more prone to diabetes, when compare to those who exercise thrice a week, are at low risk of lessening prey to diabetes.

Symptoms of Diabetes

1.being extremely thirsty
2.dry mouth
3.the need to urinate often
4.blurry vision
5.cuts or sores that are slow to heal
6.itchy skin, yeast infections
7.greater than before thirst
8.dry mouth

Treatment of Diabetes

The major goal in treating diabetes is to minimize any elevation of blood sugar (glucose) without causing unusually low levels of blood sugar.

Type 1 diabetes is treated with insulin, exercise, and a diabetic diet. Type 2 diabetes is treated first with weight lessening, a diabetic diet, and exercise.

Home Remedies for Diabetes

1.Boil 15 fresh Mango leaves in 1 glass of water. Leave during the night. Filter this water and drink first thing in the morning. It is an effective home remedy for diabetes

2.Mix 1/2 teaspoon of earth bay leaf and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric in 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel. Take this mixture two times a day before lunch and dinner. It is also good diabetes mellitus treatments. Please Visit

3.Drink a watery juice of a small Bitter Gourd (remove seeds) every morning. It is one of the best home remedies for diabetes.

4.Add 3-table spoon of cinnamon to 1 litre of boiling water. Simmer for 20 minutes in a low flame, and then strain the mixture. Drink this mixture daily to cure diabetes.

5.Eat tender curry leaves (fresh) twice a day to reduce sugar.

6.Take ten tulsi leaves, ten neem leaves and ten belpatras with a glass of water in the early hours morning on an empty stomach. It will work wonders in keeping your sugar levels beneath control. It is a good normal cure for diabetes.

7.The leaves of Butea tree are extremely useful in diabetes. They reduce blood sugar and are useful in glycousia.
