Diarrhea Causes

By: alice rose Home | Health-and-Fitness

Diarrhea is an unpleasant and sometimes embarrassing problem. Unless it is medicine related, it usually doesn't announce it's intention to pounce, it simply starts up. Most of the time we know what caused our diarrhea, right? You had a meal and within 2 hours you were stuck on the toilet. Or you had some ice cream and an hour later the diarrhea hit you. Since there is no cure for viral diseases (and hence, similarly for diarrhea cases), health professionals focus on treating the effects of diarrhea, especially dehydration, rather than dealing with the ailment directly.

If you suspect that you may be lactose intolerant all you need to do is to completely avoid any lactose containing food for one to two weeks to see if your diarrhea begins to go away. If you start getting relief after avoiding lactose you will know what the problem is. Children are more prone to diarrhea. They can experience both acute and chronic forms of diarrhea. The main reasons for this are bacteria, viruses, parasites, medications, functional bowel disorders, and food sensitivities. A bland diet is also recommended. An acronym that might be useful is BRAT. Bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. Yogurt and tea may also be useful. Young children may not tolerate tea well, but for older children and adults, decat tea and green tea are very useful.

Now for the remedies. Before getting into specifics, there are some general things to do. Make sure you remain well hydrated, as you will be losing a good deal of fluid over the course of the illness. Causes of bloody diarrhea: Virus And Flu Virus and flu can often be causes of diarrhea. Most of the time viruses cause acute diarrhea. But sometimes the immune system can't handle virus fast enough and it destroys normal gastrointestinal florae and persistent diarrhea linger. Acute symptoms are usually self-limiting and don't usually require further investigation unless they either don't settle or more extreme illness occurs. Causes of chronic diarrhea do need investigating and your doctor will be able to help you with this.

Diarrhea is just one of those conditions that can impair a person's health. To live a longer life, it would be necessary to take good care of yourself. One way to be healthy is to stay physically active. Try different types of magnesium. You're probably using citrate. You can also try dimalate capsules which release slower. Magnesium oil is a great alternative as it bypasses your digestive system.
