Did You Know All This About You And Snoring?

By: AnthonyMaxwellpapp Home | Health-and-Fitness

To many people who have been diagnosed with apnea were first snorers who did not even know that they had the problem. A lot more others who have died of the condition were merely said to have died in their sleep. Snoring is a harbinger of sleep apnea. If you become aware that you snore when you sleep, you have to immediately do something about it. Head straight to your doctor.

Snoring could be benignly caused by mucus buildup in your airway, but in a severe case it can be the result of enlarged tissues that are obstructing your airway. If untreated, snoring could lead to sleep apnea, a condition in which a patient intermittently cease to breathe while asleep.

Snoring consequently poses a valid health danger to you or your loved one. And since you are not even aware that you are snoring, listen to the one who is complaining of your snoring and go see your doctor immediately. Snoring and sleep apnea are dangerous health issues that need care and medical attention.

If you search you will find many different cures for snoring and apnea, but the biggest problem is that most snorers are not even aware of the magnitude of their problem. If you are sleeping alone without anyone to observe your sleep it is quite difficult for you to know whether you snore or not. Not even your doctor can easily diagnose that. So what you should do is get a close friend to sleep with you a couple of nights to observe your sleep.

Alternatively if you are negatively affected by your partner's snoring and just getting critical and angry at the situation while doing nothing to help the snorer, have a rethink. Your spouse, friend or relative could be in danger while you merely criticize instead of assisting to find snoring solution for them.

It is your duty as the snorer's observer to bring it to bear on him or her to seek treatment before it is too late. This should be done kindly with genuine concern that is devoid of any traces of sarcasm. Being caustic to a snorer is a big disservice that is, in most cases, self righteously meted out to undeserving snorers who actually need your help.

Finally, let me repeat that your loved one may be heading to the morgue sooner than later if all you do about their snoring is criticize them instead of encouraging them to seek help. A stitch in time saves the skirt.
