By: Clint Jhonson Home | Home-and-Family | Home-Improvement

What’s a home without a living room? You can basically do away with the entertainment area and even your dining room but you can never have a house without the feeling that you have your own living room. Besides, you can easily transform this area for entertainment and dining more easily. Yet what’s a living room without a furniture sofa? Thus, if you’re planning to decorate a home, head on to furniture stores, and take a look at the following types.

Loveseat. The loveseat is called as such because it can only fit two average-sized individuals. This furniture sofa is usually picked by those who don’t have enough space. Nevertheless, if you have a bigger home, you can buy loveseats as accent chairs to add more glamour or style into your living room. For example, you can buy two from furniture stores and position them opposite each other.

Traditional Sofas. If you have not noticed it yet, majority of the furniture sofa before are long. They can span as much as 8 feet, which means you can sit as many as three to four people in it. It becomes highly recommended for houses that have plenty of household members or for individuals who want to have a lot of parties. Nevertheless, even though they are considered traditional, they are getting scarcer. You would find limited stocks in furniture stores. Newer designs of sofas are taking in and are considered more preferable because they don’t occupy much space and have more style.

Divan. A divan is a furniture sofa that doesn’t have any backrest. For it to have support, you need to put this in a corner, such as a wall, at the back of steady furniture, or at the foot of the bed. Divans are usually bought in furniture stores to give more accent or cozy touch to a home. You can place this near the window, so you can have your own little nook. Add a table and you already have a mini-dining room. Throw in the pillows, and your home becomes homier.

Convertibles. This is another favorite for individuals that lack space and even by furniture stores. The furniture sofa can be transformed into a bed during night time or when necessities arise. This is why it’s also known as the sofabed. Usually, you have to pull the bed from underneath the sofa, or you can modify the assembly of your sofa to reveal it. However, newer versions are much better. The mattress is inflatable. What’s more, since it’s filled with air, the bed is sturdier and can provide back support when you’re sleeping.

Sectionals. If you belong to a larger family or you have a bigger home, you can purchase a sectional furniture sofa from a furniture store. It can span as long as 16 feet, but if it’s necessary, you can break them apart to reveal smaller couches or sofas. Thus, you can have more chairs for everyone. Normally, with sectionals, you can create a loveseat, divan, or an ottoman.
