Does Mind Power Work?

By: Jorj Elprehzleinn Home |

I have spent the past twenty years of my life answering that question by proving it and testing it for myself. I put my own life at risk to make it a laboratory for testing and then discovering that yes it does work and proving to myself the answer to these questions too:

Can you really be successful accomplishing goals with thought power?

Is it really possible to do some mind power technique and have your life situations change for the better?

Does all this mind power stuff really work?

If it works, then I wanted to experience that it works, and make my mind power work for me. To make a long story short I discovered that indeed it works so well that I now have a glimmer of understanding of why it is that Buddha says,

-With our thoughts we create the world-.
Buddha

I say a glimmer because the vast power of the mind is so comprehensive that I understand that all the outrageous claims about mind power are basically true, but that my ability to use mind power was what was more challenging and doubtful than the glorious teachings about how great it could be.

When I asked how could mind power be great for me, that is when I put the science and art of manifesting with mind power to the test to see if and how much it could work for me. Selfish I know, but I think that if we each use the power of our subconscious, unconscious, and conscious mind in harmony with our superconscious mind to get the things we imagine in our own lives that we need and want that in so doing we are making the world a better place.

By selfishly concentrating on fulfilling our own personal hearts desire and meeting our own personal needs with great success I think that is the greatest altruism, the most fulfilling service to the community.

As I started to be able to live my practical everyday life by manifesting my dreams using mind power techniques I could understand why the ultimate goal of yoga is the control of the mind, and especially what are the benefits of doing so that I could relate to. I discovered that words whether we see them in advertising, hear them in songs, or even the words our parents and teachers spoke to us in the past, or even now are tools we can use to help us do the magic that is thought power, the law of attraction, positive thinking, what you call it.

I understood why the power of the mind is considered the greatest obstacle to success and why controlling it is the ultimate success.

-You may control a mad elephant;
You may shut the mouth of the bear and the tiger;
Ride the lion and play with the cobra;
By alchemy you may earn your livelihood;
You may wander through the universe incognito;
Make vassals of the gods; be ever youthful;
You may walk on water and live in fire:
But control of the mind is better and more difficult.-
Thayumanavar

Under any name it seems to me this mind power is what the ancient yogis and the bible are talking about whether they call it prayer, or yoga mind control. It seems to be the same thing and I learned how to benefit from positive thinking and how to avoid the mistakes enough that to experience so many improvements in my own life and self that I could see no other course for my life than to continue to improve my relationship with my own mind.

And not for the purpose of personal growth. For the purpose of making a living, enjoying life, getting what I want, fulfilling my hearts desire, being happy and healthy. For those reasons I kept noticing that despite any difficulties, the mind power stuff that I was learning and applying in my life was working better than any other job or work that I could think of. This became my work, and led me into developing projects and businesses that I enjoyed and could make a living at doing to support me to continue to study the art and science of mind over matter. To get better at applying the Law of Attraction in my own life.

-Yoga is the control of the
thought-waves of the mind.-
Patanjali (ancient yoga master)

-Words saturated with sincerity, conviction, faith, and intuition, are like highly explosive vibration bombs which when set off shatter the rocks of difficulties and create the change desired.

Sincere words or affirmations repeated understandingly, feelingly, and willingly, are sure to move the Omnipresent Cosmic Vibratory Force to render aid in your difficulty!-
Paramahansa Yogananda

And the power of thought is also mentioned in the bible:

-Thou shalt decree a thing and it shall be established unto thee and light shall shine upon thy ways.-
The Holy Bible, Job 22:28

I was never really interested in some kind of ultimate enlightenment. Sure it has a certain appeal but when the pressures and needs of every day life to pay the rent, or find a way out of a boring job, or to get a better relationship are pushing me down so hard I got so depressed I did not want to wake up in the morning. Then I was not so interested in enlightenment unless it could put a big pile of money on my desk, free me from my job so I could pursue my creativity, and help me get into a really wonderful romantic relationship.

I needed mind power to help me with accomplishing those goals and solving real life problems like paying for a place to live and getting some free time with enough money to enjoy it.

Yes mind power works for getting the needs of daily life to be accomplished more wonderfully than in any other way.

It is both the hardest and most honest work you can ever do because you must discover yourself in the process. Enlightenment is after all a side benefit that I must admit keeps showing up in bits and pieces everyday even though I really concentrated on just manifesting the things I needed and wanted and not on the spiritual aspects of mind control.

I guess I just got lucky since the spiritual growth and personal development came as a bonus and still does as I continue to apply the reliable methods I use to live my life with mind power as my greatest ally in accomplishing what it is that is my hearts desire, rather than surrendering my power and giving up on living a full life in harmony with my soul path.
