This seems to be the new fad in the Bluetooth world; websites all around are offering cheap Bluetooth headsets at unbelievably low prices. That’s exactly what it is, unbelievable. Websites all across the internet are using this new method (scam in our opinion) to make money hand over fist. They offer Bluetooth headsets for sale that look just like the popular ones on today’s legit market at prices 25-50% off the retail value. They have the same design, and same colors but that’s about as far as it goes for them. These are rip offs, plain and simple. Just like when you go on the streets of Manhattan to purchase a designer bag from the vendors, you need a wide depth of knowledge about the real bags to determine the fake ones, you also need this knowledge now a days for purchasing Bluetooth headsets. Purchasing one of these imitation Bluetooth headsets is tempting, I’ll admit that. In fact, I’ve done it before. So take it from a personal point of view, it’s not worth it. They look the same, but the sound quality, functionality, and battery life are horrible. You’re left with a piece of plastic dangling from your ear and money wasted. If you happen to even find a functioning device, say you spend $20 on it, its life span is horrible and burns out after a couple weeks and regardless of what they say, there is no return policy. They give you the run around until you give up, I got my money back by using constant pressure, always calling and always complaining. I’d rather spend the extra money to have the peace of mind that I’m purchasing a brand name Bluetooth that will work more then a few weeks. To help you out, we’ve created this check list to use when contemplating your purchase of a suspect Bluetooth: 1. Check the picture of the product. I’ve yet to find an imitation Bluetooth display the company logo on the product. For example, a Bluetooth that looks like a Motorola product will not have the Motorola â€M†displayed on the product. Of course there are other headset companies that don’t display their logo on their product and they’re completely legit. 2. Check the model number. These rip-off websites tend to use this technique a lot. If your looking for the Jabra BT530 these imitation companies will create a headset that looks just like the Jabra BT530 but they’ll name the product BT530, noticed they left the Jabra name out. 3. Check where it’s coming from. A lot of these imitations come from China or stem from a China based company. Always purchase your Bluetooth headsets from a reputable website such as www.BargainBluetooth.com If you are still having trouble determining if the product is an imitation or not, Contact us, we’ll gladly go over it for you and help you decide.
