People looking to download sound effects for either a production, corporate PowerPoint, or website has now become a common thing not only for professional sound designers but also for novices. So, if you are going to download sound effects you need to know that there are essentially four different types. On top of that, when you download sound effects, the quality of the sound effects and the type of sound effects are critical in determining the professionalism of the sound effects. Here are the four different types: Firstly, to download SFX, you might first look at what sound designers call "hard sound effects". "Hard sound effects" are clear crisp sound effects like people firing guns, breaking sounds, or a front door slamming shut. Many people also download SFX that are called "ambient" or "background sound effects". Background sound effects don’t necessarily synchronize with any specific movement on screen, in a film or in a PowerPoint production but provide ambiences to the people watching such as forest sounds, crowds at a ball game, or an oven running. These sound effects are not what one would normally call "realistic" sound effects, but are sound effects that incorporate some kind of musical aspect to them.
