Dyslexia, Impairs A Person’s Ability To Read.

If a person is finding it difficult to cope up with spellings, is a slow reader, and has a difficult time sounding out unknown words there is a risk of that person having dyslexia.

If more than three of the signs of dyslexia is seen in a child, and especially if there is dyslexia or AD| HD in the family, the child ought to be tested for dyslexia before five years of age. During the preschool years of these children, games and other reading readiness should be done every day.

People with dyslexia do not make random reading errors. They make very specific types of blunders. Although they read a word on one page, they may not be able to read that very same word on another page, or in another place. These individuals have a slow, labored, inaccurate reading of sole words in isolation, when there is no story line or pictures to provide clues.

People with dyslexia normally have a huge difference in relating things orally, and in writing them down. Whenever possible they dodge writing. They also tend to write everything in one extended sentence.
