Eat Raw Food - Get More Energy!

By: Jane Harling Home | Health-and-Fitness

We cook our food. In fact, we are the only creatures that do - wild animals don't! We also suffer far more obesity, heart disease and cancer. We have digestive trouble, we lack energy and are increasingly constipated. Not good! We need to find a new way. Eat Raw Food!

Some Benefits of Eating More Raw Food

* If you cook foods above 118 degrees farenheit you destroy all their natural goodness. Their enzymes ( so important - we will take a look at them later ), most of their vitamins and minerals, phytonutrients and their energy - their life force. Raw Food has everything intact!
* Your energy levels will be so much higher! Those people that eat raw usually report needing only four or five hours sleep at night. This energy comes as a result of eating raw living foods. As the food is not cooked it maintains its natural energy properties enabling you to give your body energy direct from the plants source - the sun.
* Digestion is so much easier. Eating meat and dairy uses so much energy to digest. Your body is trying to break down "dead" food. Raw Food has all its enzymes intact to make digestion easy.
* You will lose weight,if you need to. Your body will benefit from a lot more nutrients than before with the result that you won't get so many food cravings. Your diet will be mainly plant based. More healthy than meat, dairy, cooked foods like bread and cakes etc.
* Your skin will look brighter and have a natural glow. This is partly down to the extra nutrients and healthy digestion and elimination due to the enzymes, but also down to the extra water content raw foods have. This hydrates you properly and keeps you feeling full for longer.

So, What Are These Enzymes And Why Are They So Important?

Your body has only a limited supply of Enzymes. They are required for every activity in the body. You only produce a finite number. If you continually eat "dead" food you will make your body use up enzymes to digest and metabolize your food. It's commonly likened to a bank account i.e. if you keep withdrawing you run out! When that happens you have no life. So you need to make lots of deposits and the way to do that is to eat living foods with their energy intact. Examples of these are green vegetables and green vegetable juices especially wheatgrass juice. If your body has to keep using its own supply of enzymes because the food you give it has none, it will take energy from you and make you run down and lethargic. It will also do harm to your immune system leaving you more likely to pick up bugs and infections.

You are probably thinking Eat Raw Food? What on earth can I eat? Won't it be very restrictive? Nothing could be further from the truth. If you start to follow a Raw Food Plan at the beginning, it's so much easier! Although eating raw is actually more natural, we have come so far from this ideal that it is helpful to be reminded of all the wonderful foods you should eat. Most probably a far greater variety than you eat at the moment, maybe! It's helpful to have support as sadly you will be in a minority. Just why people are so intent on wrecking their health is rather a mystery. They too could so easily reap the benefits of Eating Raw Food!
