Eczema (or atopic dermatitis) is an provocative skin condition. The cause of eczema can be attributed to hereditary or external factors.

Eczema is not infectious and cannot be caught by another person. It is more likely to occur in children under six, and many children will breed out of the condition.

Symptoms of Eczema

1.Usually, the first symptom of eczema is concentrated itching.
2.The rash appears later and is red and bumpy.
3.The rash itches or burns.
4.If it is scratched, it may ooze and become crusty.
5.In adults, chronic rubbing produces thickened plaques of skin.

Treatment of Eczema

It is important to realize that in most cases no one treatment will be effectual.

Medical research continues to show that the most effectual treatment plan for eczema â€" regardless of type â€" involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes to control flare-ups.

Doing so tends to increase effectiveness and decrease side effects from medications.

The type of medication prearranged will depend on many factors, including the type of eczema, past treatment, and the patient’s fondness.

Home Remedies for Eczema

Coconut oil can be applied to the portion with eczema. It helps the skin to remain soft. This is a good eczema remedy.

A light mudpack functional over the place of eczema is also very valuable. Good home remedy for eczema.

Sunbathing is also beneficial as it kills the harmful bacteria.

Make a fine paste of 1 tsp camphor and 1-teaspoon sandalwood. Apply this paste on the affected eczema areas. This is very good and easy home remedy for eczema.

Water treatments have also been prove useful in eczema treatment like cold compress or cold wet fomentations. It can be applied twice daily depending on the harshness of the problem.

Make a fine paste by adding 1 tbls of turmeric powder and 1 tbls of bitter neem leaves. Apply this paste to the exaggerated areas.
