Although there may be various reasons leading to fire damage we must be careful regarding the ones, which are most common causes of fire outbreak. These would help us to form our guidelines if a situation like that were to occur, where otherwise we would remain stranded. We should always be prepared for fire damage, because once a fire breaks out it spreads rapidly over the surrounding regions in a matter of few seconds. There are a few things that can be followed in case of avoiding a fire outbreak, by following which people may escape from the fire damage. They could be brought forward as follows: * Every member should be made aware of the easiest way out of the house or building, if a fire were to break out. The children should be made aware of the fact that while evacuating they must stay as close to the ground as possible. * Keeping a fire extinguisher at hand is a good measure, as it can put down the initial or minor flames. * It is a good idea to have smoke alarms fitted to your building as they can easily identify the heat if a fire starts. They should be kept well maintained to detect properly. * Children should be kept out of reach or at a safe distance from matches or lighters, so that they may not start a fire accidentally. * Smoking cigarettes near inflammable substances should be avoided at any cost, so that we may not have to repent in the future for our carelessness. * Electrical items should be carefully monitored, and any loose or exposed wiring must be immediately taken care of. Special attention to the wiring may prevent unnecessary hassles of short circuit and sparks leading to fire damage. * Inflammable substances not be kept indoors and smoking near them or carrying any form of flame should be avoided at all costs. * It should also be noted that the open flames are kept at a safe distance from material that may catch fire, inside and outside the household alike. With the help of these things in our mind we need not worry much about the fire damage, but at the same time we should not become casual and compromise with one of them. Only if stay alert can we deal with fire damage without having to suffer losses, otherwise it would engulf us all without us getting a chance to fight back. However, if a fire damage did occur and could not be prevented then in such circumstances we must not take things lightly. We should also proceed with the restoration process with extreme caution, because a slight mistake on our part may lead to another fire outbreak and cause further damage. Even so in the case of forest fires, we must always try and curb the fire from spreading any further, instead of trying to extinguish it first. Once the fire has been restricted we can proceed further to find ways by which we could put it out.
