1. Choose a topic. You have to choose a theme or a topic you love. If you can find a subject that is both, you have a winning combination. Think about what people are talking in the forums and the advice that you have read recently. Ask Google to find the latest most popular search topics. Their task will be easier if the item is a subject people currently of interest. If you are interested in the subject, this will show in your writing and enthusiasm can be contagious. 2. The subject of research. Remember that people will read your article for information. The type and extent of your research depends on the type of item you intend to write. If you are writing an ezine article on their own experience or point of view, probably will not have to do much in the way of the investigation unless you want to add in reference to some contrasting views have been published by others. Obviously, if you are writing an ezine article that includes statistical information, you need to ensure that the facts and figures are correct. 3. Invent a title. The title can make or break your article. A title for an ezine article writing is as important as a title for an ad. The first 3-5 words of your title are the most important so do not waste through the use of words such as "The Ten Best Ways ...". Put the keyword in the first 3-5 words and make sure your title is relevant to the content of the ezine article. Write on the sections. Type 3.5 points more important on the subject. If you feel you need more, it is probably best to divide the information into two (or more) separate articles. Make sure each section is actually a new point and not a continuation of something that covers a couple of paragraphs ago. The key to making your writing easy to make and easy to read is to divide the content so that it is logically organized and not jump back and forth. 5. Count your words. Between 700 - 1200 words is the best size for an electronic journal ezine article. If you write less than 500 words, your article is unlikely to be taken seriously and nothing much more than 1000 words may require more space than an Ezine article publisher wants to assign. Few ezines accept any items more than 1200 words. If you write an article that is more than 1200 words, first check that the writing is sloppy, unnecessarily repetitive or long-term. If your writing is "tight" and every word is for informational purposes, divide the work into two pieces and call them Part 1 and Part 2. 6. Create your resource box. This is your advertisement. Most ezines demand that the resource box is limited to about 5 lines. Some insist in just 3 lines of 5, but is a good average to work. It is necessary to accommodate 5 lines of your name, web address and a couple of sentences of promotion to attract the reader's interest for him to click through your website. You get the best results if your promotional phrases related to the content of your article. 7. Revise and edit. Never send an item once you finish writing it. Leave all night, sleep on it, then return it the next day to correct and edit. If yesterday's work of art seems less attractive during the cold day, rewrite it until you are satisfied with the improvement and then let another day. Send to ezine publishers. Find a great part of ezine publishers and list your name and contact email. Send your article to them with a personalized cover short paragraph at the top. Customization is important because most ezine publishers receive hundreds of these e-mails every day. Make sure that the format of your email, making a return at the end of each line. Keep your lines up to 60 up to 65 characters so that your article will display correctly on email servers. 9. Submit to article directories. There are hundreds of article directory sites where you can submit your articles. You can find these sites by searching for any major search engine. The submission process can be lengthy and there are services that, for a fee, submit your articles to directories for you. If you are operating on a limited budget, these services can be prohibitively expensive, but automation is desirable, because their time is valuable. When submitting online article directories, read the instructions on the site. 10. Your target market No spray and pray: avoid the temptation of laziness and send each ezine article you write to each ezine article publisher and article directory to find, this is spam. Take some time to see what kind of articles in the different places they want. If you constantly bombard a site with inappropriate material may be blacklisted by a potentially valuable source of free advertising. Remember, there are real people on those sites that have to read the articles before they are accepted, so it does not bother them for wasting your time.
