Fake Antivirus Scan On Your Computer To Dupe You

By: Eran Home | Computers-and-Technology | Software

You must have observed while browsing the internet many times a message theta first scans your all the disks in your computer and then shows you many a viruses that are supposed to be sitting in your disks along with many other worms and Trojans no matter how good or powerful an antivirus you are using.

These kinds of messages generally take full control of your system and don’t let you do anything. It looks like your system has been taken under siege by that program or pop up. Then suddenly it will suggest that your system has got a severe infection from viruses and they have the cure for it. An antivirus that will cost you some dollars.

Many people fall for the trap buy that antivirus spend their hard earned money on something they really don’t require. Many of these ant viruses are viruses in disguise and will phish out all your data to a remote hacker who will make use of all the information that has been supplied to him by this malicious technique.

Why do people fall for such traps? As a newbie on the computer and on the internet one is bound to be surprised when all such messages are made to look like they are coming from the operating system of the computer. Secondly the malicious code will pick up a filename that you yourself have created and flag it as being infected with severe infection. This builds up a sort of confidence in the user that the pop up is genuine and real and his system is really infected.

The options that you have for immediate restoration of your system is the system restore option available in the system tools. You just have to choose a system restore point at a previous date. Once you are done with that restart your computer there will be no sign of the malware. Any program or update that you have installed recently may get affected but data will not be lost.

Next time you get such a message do not panic and fall in the trap keep your cool and search fro the best option available at that time and remember to install a good quality tested antivirus that gives you total protection and a good firewall against such attacks.
