The island of Elba, made popular as the place where Napoleon was exiled is one of the seven islands forming the Tuscan Archipelago. With an area of more than two twenty four square kilometers, Elba is the third largest island in Italy. The first one should be devoted to visiting at least a couple of beautiful beaches and make sure that you visit both the fine sand and the rocky ones. Next, your family will definitely enjoy a trip to the wooded interiors of the island, where you can go prospecting for berries, plan a nature acquaintance picnic or simply ride your bikes in the evening. Save the last two parts of your time for visiting local historical attractions and attending some of the many lively cultural events that are organized during the tourist season on Elba.
