Kinds of Fantasy Hockey Leagues Fantasy hockey leagues #1: The Points League When you say points league, it is the one where point multipliers are assigned to a particular category. The owners try to garner the needed points to win by scoring in the categories in spite of not having a weekly competition. For example, in a ROTA league, if there are 20 teams and 20 categories, the most number of points a team can win is 200 (this is if that teams win 1st in all of the categories). The worst team can gain 20 points as a result of getting one point in all the categories. A rota league is said to be the most strategic type of fantasy hockey pool. A winner of a rota league means that the manager who selected it was adept enough to draft pick a team that is strong, balanced and wins in most of the categories.
