Feeling Down, Why Not Pamper Yourself Today At A Day Spa?

By: Gregg Hall Home | Health-and-Fitness | Beauty

If you are looking for a pick-me-up, you should consider a visit to a day spa. There are many reasons to take advantage of one of the services offered at these establishments from stress release to losing weight. Some like to take advantage of the cosmetic and age reducing effects from facials and body wraps. You have to take time out to treat yourself sometimes and a trip to a day spa is a great way to do it. At these wonderful retreats you can forget about the world and enjoy having all the focus on your pleasure for a day. Let's look at some of the pleasurable experiences that are waiting for you.

One of my absolute favorite parts of a spa visit is getting a massage. As a bodybuilder, I really like the deep tissue massage that gets deep down into my sore muscles and helps break up scar tissue. Swedish massage is great too though and getting a massage helps with stress release, flexibility, and rids your body of toxins and just makes you feel good overall. Getting a massage from a masseuse who knows what they are doing can make you feel like you are the only person in the world and make you feel like you are a king or a queen.

Manicures and pedicures are also very popular treatments from the local spas that can make you feel like you are being pampered and doted upon. It is the whole day spa atmosphere that makes you enjoy the experience so much more than if you had it done at a nail salon. The difference is in the treatment, where the salon is focused on hurrying and getting you in and out, the day spa is more concerned with pleasing you and making you feel like royalty.

The facial is probably the image that most people see in their mind when they think of a day spa, it's no wonder since the facial is the second most popular after the massage. These treatments go far beyond the simple washing and cleansing you may do on your own. A good facial treatment will rid your face of all the built up dead skin cells and cleans and hydrates your skin at the same time. This will leave you feeling clean, fresh, and younger!

If the day spa you are staying at offers the body wrap you will definitely want to try this. This is like a facial for your whole body where you are wrapped in minerals, herbs and essential oils which work together to remove toxic substances from your body. Some of these wraps can even help with weight loss.
