Finca Cortesn Golf Club was established in October 2006 and it has been designed just short distance inside from the Mediterranean Sea and it meanders through a spectacular valley. This Cabell Robinson designed golf course, is perhaps the longest layout in Europe and is nearly 7,000 meters from one corner to the other. Robinson wanted to develop a golf course in which â€no hole has less than championship quality’. This vision has in fact turned into reality. Its advantageous location offers a panorama above the Mediterranean and the African coastline from all sides. This is a unique and exciting golf course in the Costa del Sol region, as unlike other courses there are no constructions which interfere while you play the game. This also gives more space for the holes as they are not overcrowded by buildings, and you can enjoy your game of golf in natural surroundings without any disturbances. All the 18 holes are exceptional as each hole is entirely different to the other and this makes playing golf very exciting at Finca Cortesn Golf Club. The golf course plays to the par of 72. It has been designed with five par 5’s, eight par 4’s and five par 3’s. The course has also become very fascinating with a large variety of natural vegetation in the premises which include cork and olive trees. There are some technical features worth mentioning like the fact that the Bermuda 419 Grass fairways, which are exceptionally wide, almost 50 meters and the bunkers are skillfully designed and have sparkling white marble sand. You will find the tee boxes of superior quality and each hole has a number of tee platforms and you will always find them in excellent condition. There is no doubt, that one of the finest jewels of the Finca Cortesn golf course is its greens. They are immaculately maintained with minor brakes and can be exceptionally fast also. The golf club houses the â€Jack Nicklaus Academy’ and the practice facilities at Finca are based around it. It has ground-breaking methods of teaching which is based on the swing uniqueness of the student.
