Based in Baltimore, Maryland - the Ravens is a professional football team which is scheduled to have some very tough games for the road ahead during their 2008 season. They will be facing the NFC North and South divisions as well as the NFC East division. Based on the NFL 2008-09 scheduling formula, the Ravens will also have to face the Oakland Raiders and the Miami Dolphins from the AFC West and East divisions respectively. Championships and Important Moments: As many will know, the most important season for this team was the 2000 season due to the fact that they were able to achieve the maximum title in the NFL - Super Bowl Champions - after defeating the Giants 34-7. During this epic game the Ravens forced five turnovers one of which triggered a touchdown by Duane Starks. This championship game was also memorable due to the fact that it was the first time in football history that 3 touchdowns were scored in an amazingly short period of time! Baltimore originally traded up to get Joe Flacco who many people thought he would be their Quarterback and they now have a situation because of Troy's performance, he literally has carried himself to a position where he is now profiled to be starter QB of the Ravens. Troy's development has been somewhat of a relief to the team because of Flacco's time away from the team (May 2008) due the agreement between the NFL and NCAA, Troy is now battling against Kyle Boller for the top QB position. According to many sources, Flacco has been training with his brother and father since he doesn't have the company of Todd Heap or Derrick Mason however, not much can be expected of such family activities. The 2008 season is sure to be very tough for the team but at the same time exciting giving so many developments, with so much projected action coming our way it is expected for the game tickets to sell very quick, if you are a Ravens fan then this is a season you simply can't miss.
