Fish Oil Capsules With High Dha Quantity Makes A Difference!

By: Terry Johnston Home | Health-and-Fitness

Fish oil capsules with high DHA quantity are the ones you should be taking. Considered to be the best of the Omega 3 suppliers -- fish oil is superior to plant derived Omega 3s.

Omega 3 consists of 3 types of fatty oil acids:

DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) DPA (Docosapentaenoic Acid)

All three are important and integral to human health, but what has been recently discovered is how DHA performs its protective functions within the human body. DHA omega 3 is converted within the body into a compound called "resolvin D2".

Resolvin D2 stops white blood cells from attaching to the walls of blood vessels. any matter including blood cells sticking to vessel walls will initiate an inflammation response.

Studies were done on mice infected with "sepsis". A condition caused by a bacterial infection-- where the immune response--goes wild overwhelming normal blood processes -- causing blood clots to form. Blocking the flow of blood to vital organs -- over 30% of people who contract "sepsis" die from it.

The infected mice were given "resolvin D2", which slowed the inflammation response and reduced swelling. At the same time the mice immune system was not impaired and was able to fight off the underlying infection.

Because the greater the amount of DHA means the greater amount your body can convert to "resolvin D2" in your body. The obvious implication is fish oil capsules with high DHA quantity are the the best ones to choose.

There are other reasons to look for fish oil capsules with high DHA quantity. Studies have shown that high levels of DHA taken on a regular basis will alleviate menstrual Pain, reduce the swelling and inflammation of arthritis.

DHA is vital for proper functioning of the brain. During the first 6 months of life it is essential for the development of the nervous system and visual abilities.

A proven heart disease fighter -- Omega 3 fatty acids lower triglycerides (another type of fat found in blood similar to cholesterol). Omega 3 will lower blood pressure. The odds of blood clots are greatly reduced. Improves the overall health of the arteries. Reduces arterial plaque--(the stuff that can narrow arteries)--which can reduce blood flow to the heart causing a heart attack.

The last thought -- Look for fish oil capsules with high DHA quantity, sourced form clean waters. Fish living in clean pristine waters provide a cleaner fish oil!
