By: David Cassell Home | Health-and-Fitness

Generally, people are in a hurry to buy omega 3 fish oil after getting to know about the benefits. But getting the right omega 3 is not as easy as it sounds.

Before you purchase omega 3, you have to know which one is the best. You can do this fish oil review by yourself.

There are hundreds of fish oils available in the market. Finding the right one will take some time and energy of yours. But, by the end of the day, you will realize that all the efforts you put in were worth it.

The quality of omega 3 supplements varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Some branded manufacturers intend to give their customers the best of the quality, while there are others who follow double standards.

You will be taken aback to know that some of these fish oils also contain a major portion of hazardous toxins, PBA's and destructive levels of mercury in them.

So you have to watch out because this is the question of your health. Here's how you conduct your own fish oil review.

The best thing you can do is go for pharmaceutical graded fish oil. These oils have high quality omega-3 fatty acids in them. And most importantly they do not have any additives.

Please bear in mind there is no physical existence of a company called pharmaceutical grade fish oil. But any company which follows the standards laid by the International Fish Oil is safe to use.

So when you buy, read what is given on the supplement, check if the company is approved by IFO.

There are companies who manufacture much higher standards of fish oil, than the IFOS standards, such good manufacturers can be numbered with your fingers, so better be cautious.

You can also check the ingredients printed on the supplements. Make a note of the amounts of trace minerals and mercury that is used in making the supplements.

They have to be really low. You should also make note of the formula used in the purification of the oil. The safest one is by eliminating the harmful toxins by using a method called molecular distillation.

This is one of the most expensive formulas of removing the toxins from the omega 3 supplement. Only a few manufacturers have adopted this method of purification.

Good omega 3 companies use water based coating to provide high quality fish oil to its customers. These are some of the ways that you can review the fish oil by yourself.

Now, you might wonder if this is all a must, in this fast moving world. Yes, it is a must. Omega-3 fatty acids present in these fish oil supplements are very good for health.

The only thing is that, it is not as easy as walking into a pharmaceutical store and picking up the supplement. You have to ensure that you are taking the right one.

If you don't have the time and the patience to do these reviews yourself, you always have the option of consulting your family physician. He will be able to suggest the right manufacturer.
