All forms of dust, hair particles and fibres can get stuck in the fans. Canned air and vacuum cleaning can help to get rid of dust on the power supply fan and those in the CPU. You can get a professional to do it if you do not have the accessories. If you are doing it by yourself make sure to clean the insides in a clean environment to prevent more dust from entering the PC. 3.Pay attention to the power supply- the power supply of your PC plays a big role in keeping it up-and-running and having an efficient power supply makes powering your computer easier and quicker. Sometimes the fans in the power supply may be the only cooling devices for your computer. In these situations you have to replace the entire power supply for one that is cooler. A switch mode power supply is highly efficient and generates less heat. 4.Upgrade your CPU fan- you could buy a bigger and a better CPU fan that reduces heat and cools your PC to greater extents. Most of the fans that come with your PC are just enough to cool the processor but having a more advanced upgrade is worth it. 5.Avoid overlocking- speeding up your CPU past its recommended limits causes overheating easily. If you want a more efficiently running PC, think of changing components like power supplies. For example a switch mode power supply can prevent your computer from using a heavy dose of power and it will keep your computer running cooler.
