By: Karen Smith Home | Health-and-Fitness | Nutrition

Different persons have their own distinctive immunity system since not all people are born same. While some people find no problems handling hay, some others start sneezing in the presence of the same. It is because their system cannot handle it because they are allergic to hay. Even healthy foods can make you ill is something that you might be surprised to know. Many people suffer from ailments that are directly related to food intolerance and yet do not know about it.

There are different types of such illness like irritable bowel, eczema, hives, rashes on the skin, and yeast infections inclusive of candida. Some people also gain weight because their biological system cannot tolerate the foods they eat. There is no need to get worried about this for the reason that approximately 75% of people all over the world suffer from this malady. The best option is to first diagnose the particular food that is causing these problems and temporarily removing them from your diet.

If chronic health problems are what you suffer from, then it is likely that you are suffering from food intolerance. See if your health problem is solved after removing one particular food from your menu for a few days and. If not, repeat the process by removing another food item from your menu and repeat till you have been able to find out the culprit. You can consult a dietician and present them with a chart of your findings and based on that they will recommend you to go in for food intolerance test.

A sample of your blood is tested in the lab to determine what particular food is not suitable for you and this requires a pathological test. The dietician will prescribe food intolerance treatment in the form of medications to help cure your allergy based on this report. You can simply eliminate that particular food from your diet if you do not fancy taking drugs. You can also conduct the pathological tests at home with the help of food intolerance test kit if you so want.

Basically, there are just four types of intolerance and they include intolerance to gluten & wheat, sensitivity to yeast, fructose, and dairy products. It is better to eliminate the root cause of the problem by altogether avoiding the food that is causing problems though taking drugs may help in the short term.
