For marketing network success, belief is everything! Or so I was told by the "old school" approach to network marketing. They told us that if your dream is big enough, there is nothing that can stop you. They taught that attitude was 95. This was reflected in our training. We got a monthly motivational book, a weekly motivational CD and multiple meetings, some weekly, some monthly, and then there was the weekend rallies every three months. I can not tell you how many times I rode high on the emotional roller coaster of a motivational event and how many times I swung low with discouragement a week or two after. Is that really all I needed? To believe in the company more? To believe in the products more? To believe in myself more? For Marketing Network Success, You Need to Build Your Business Correctly I knew I had a huge dream and was highly motivated. I was not so sure I believed in myself. However, after several years of being pumped up and not seeing results, I began to wonder. Then, much to my relief, I came across the writings of Ann Sieg about "attraction marketing". She pointed out that if all that motivation does not produce cash flow, something is seriously wrong and it is not your motivation. Here is how she put it. "If you're using a shovel to dig the foundation for a house - When you could be using a bulldozer - then yes, you're going to need a lot of motivation to get the job done....The more inefficient your system is and the more ineffective your tools are, the harder you're going to have to work to get results. And because of that, you have to make up for it big time with motivation." She found that she went from sponsoring one person every 5 months while using the "old school" tools and methods of network marketing to sponsoring 10 people every month by using the right tools. For Marketing Network Success, You Need the Right Tools and System Ann's prescription is, "Find the people who're looking for what you have, use an effective marketing system to automatically sell to them for you, and then spend your time working with the best ones." I discovered that my problem in succeeding with network marketing was not a lack of belief. The products were quality products and the company was first class with a super compensation plan. The missing link in network marketing is the "marketing". Most of us who get into MLM have no training in sales or marketing and the system does not train us to do that effectively. What was even better for me, I found that Ann and her team were working hard to correct this problem. They not only pioneered a new approach to network marketing which leverages the Internet for business building but they also created a system and a training to help me do the same. -"Attraction marketing" teaches you how to find the people who are looking for your business opportunity or your product. It does it by focussing on what people are looking for in a home based business and providing them with information and help. Using Internet marketing strategies you can find the people who are looking and then sort and filter out those who do not qualify. You then focus on those who are highly motivated and have the time and money to be successful. -"Attraction marketing" then trains you in how to set up your own marketing system. It is a veritable money making machine that you learn to build. They are not all the same but they are suited to your own interests. I am a low tech person and I learn slowly. However, I find their training videos to be user friendly. They lead me click-by-click through the process and aim the training at the bottom of the class rather than the top of the class, so everyone gets it. -"Attraction marketing" has a whole educational program to learn how to use the tools you will need to build your own marketing network success. I am learning to use tools I never dreamed I would be able to use. Motivation has it's place, but even more important is the system you are using. Traditional network marketing is largely using and teaching a system that the "big dogs" learned and used decades ago. The world has changed radically with the arrival of the Internet. When you have the potential of using a bulldozer to do your work for you, why would you want to stick with a shovel? You can read more about the bulldozer of "attraction marketing" in the free ebook cited below.
