For those who are not familiar with the sport, BMX bike racing refers to any group of people who have taken it upon themselves to compete in a race against each other using their BMX bike as their means of transportation. Originally BMX bike riding only took place in dirt tracks in the countryside. However, beginning in the nineteen eighties a movement called Freestyle BMX took the sport to the streets. Riding BMX bikes was now a common sight at the park, sidewalks, even down the hand rail in the stairs. This is the idea behind some online BMX games, which try to represent the thrills and spills of bike riding in the streets, such as BMX LDS. BMX LDS is a free online BMX game which gives the player control over a character riding his bike in the city. As the story goes, you're late for an appointment with the Jones family, and you need to ride your bike pretty fast in order to get there in a reasonable amount of time. Through the given set of controls the player must make an effort to avoid these obstacles and reach his destination. Controls include the UP and DOWN arrow key to pedal the bike, and the spacebar to jump. Note that these are not just push and move kind of controls, the player will be required to press the up and down key continuously in order to move the bike forward. The best way to go around this id by using your index and middle finger the same way you would use your feet on the bike pedals, pressing each key intermittently with your fingers as you would with your feet. This online BMX game will offer the player three opportunities per game to finish the course. He will need to avoid all obstacles in the way, while trying to catch a few goodies that are floating in mid air. Doing wheelies and other tricks during the race will also result in bonus points being awarded.
