Free Tips On Coping During A Panic Attack

One of the best ways and also one of the most underestimated ways to deal with anxiety or panic attacks is your own mental power.

Many times, when you are on the verge of a panic attack, just by telling yourself positive affirmations, although you might not believe in them first, can make a huge difference in the way panic attack evolves. The words that you use are not that critical as long you can focus on them and take your focus off the panic attack itself.

On the other hand it is recommended that you use positive phrases like "Everything will be ok in just a second" or "It's going away, I feel better".

Most individuals will give in and will start thinking about panic attacks and the possibility of getting one for long periods of time. Such a fact alone can make the episodes worse and it is very important to take your mind off everything as much as possible.

As beneficial breathing techniques can be, many won't be able to master them as soon as needed so telling yourself positive words and affirmations is an excellent alternative or additional method. When you learn to use both methods in addition to other ways to deal with anxiety and panic attacks it will be very beneficial for you.

There are different alternatives including Yoga and medicine but why go through something else when the problem can be resolved with a simple inside your brain dialogue between you and yourself.

One way that did work in several cases of panic attack patients is to purchase medication for the condition. As you start feeling that the panic attack is coming you can start focusing on the pills.

Start thinking about whether you should take them or not and find the pros and cons of this situation. You will see that your focus is going to shift away from the panic attack to this problem with taking drugs or not and this alone can be very useful in eliminating the episode. Always remember to congratulate yourself after not taking the pills.

It is not easy to think about positive phrases or even thoughts during a panic attack and coping with this situation is hard although it can be eliminated in a lot of cases with simple interior monologues. It takes practise, but it's worth it!

This might not work the first or even the second time, but having said that, you will see that positive thinking and affirmations are very useful when you are coping with panic attacks.
