Everyone is looking for a magical method of earning online. So far, no one has found it. Even scammers have to work a bit! If you’re interested in making an honest living online, then freelance writing is the way to go. Freelance writing online can be very productive and many people earn a full living at it. This is only possible if you know what you’re doing though. Don’t hang out on low paying content sites, stick to the places that are actually going to give you enough to pay the rent! It’s vital that you understand where to look for work when freelancing. Too many people stick to writing low cost articles for a buck or two because they don’t realize that they could be demanding ten times that price for their work. If you can write a high school essay, then there is no reason you can’t be pulling in a couple thousand dollars a month, at least. It’s not difficult. But it does require work. Finding jobs is often the hardest part of freelancing. Many people give up at this point because they can’t land that first job. They struggle with sending out query after query, only to be rejected each time. It’s very easy to become discouraged and figure you can’t write, but that is often not the case. What’s the real issue here? Not being able to land the job properly! If you know how to write a query letter, you are off to a good start, but that isn’t the whole enchilada. You also need to understand how to present yourself as a professional and you should always have a number of samples on hand to prove that you are as good as you say you are. Often, writers lack the self-confidence necessary to pull this off. They feel they aren’t good enough to demand a higher price anyway, so they go with the lower one. Do you have somewhere to send potential clients when they want to know more about you? The vast majority of writers don’t have a website and that is a huge mistake. In fact, if you don’t have a website, you’ll lose a large number of potential clients. It’s one of the tricks to landing those jobs! Freelance writing online is something that requires know how and the ability to land clients. Chances are you already know how to write, so now you need to learn how to convince people to hire you!
