Ft. Myers Outback Models At Local Dealerships To Be Moving Hotspots

By: Rod Johnson Home | Automotive | Cars

Today’s world of technology is expanding more than ever, and the automobile industry is no exception. Ft. Myers Subaru Legacy shoppers will be interested and perhaps shocked to learn that the car company will soon offer â€Autonet,†a new technology that will carry its own mobile internet network. Although this Autonet Mobile technology is already available with select Cadillac and Chrysler models, consumers looking for an Outback in Ft. Myers will be excited to have the first Subaru model to feature this new technology when it becomes available.
Subaru’s â€Autonet†is connected to 802.11 a/b/g frequency and picks up 2.5G and 3G mobile data connections from across the world and can also instantly switch between signals to ensure seamless connectivity. Ft. Myers Outback owners will experience the technology similar to a cell phone, only in a moving Subaru vehicle. However, it is not advised for driver use †passengers will be in charge of using the technology for purposes such as checking weather and traffic while traveling to their destination.
Of course, the Subaru Autonet can be used for other common internet uses like watching videos online or checking email, as Subaru officials state: â€Subaru Mobile Internet easily allows users to check email, surf the Web or listen to Internet radio and even stream video and post to social networking sites.†Soon Outback passengers will be able to express how much fun their road trip is via Facebook or Twitter while traveling through the back roads or highways.
To be honest, this breakthrough has convinced me to seriously consider a Subaru Outback for my next vehicle †or has at least convinced me to persuade my family and friends to purchase one. But with every technological breakthrough comes a price. Consumers can add Autonet Mobile to their vehicle for an additional $499 and a $35 activation fee with $29 per month.
Furthermore, the software can also be deactivated and reactivated at the driver’s will. This way, if Subaru owners feel that they are not using it as often as they first anticipated, or if they need to cut down on extra costs. Nevertheless, Ft. Myers Subaru Legacy owners will probably be jealous of their friend or family member who owns an Outback with the new Autonet Mobile technology. Interested consumers are encouraged to visit their local Subaru dealer to obtain more information about the new Autonet Mobile technology.
