You will probably want to remove trees from the immediately surrounding area and consider adding an artificial habitat, especially if you plan to grow catfish, crappie, or bass. It is likely that the perfect location for a pond is not exactly clear. In fact, it may be covered in trees and other plant life. By working with professionals in the timber industry your timber can be harvested and your timber is in effect monetized. The income gained can go a long way to offset the costs of the pond construction. Many times hunters and/or animal lovers decide to install a wildlife food plot. This provides an eating area for deer and other wildlife. The ideal fool plot will be constructed in an area that is somewhat cleared out. Once again, the land owner can team up with timber company professionals, and create a deal that is a win/win situation for everyone.
