These auctions are set up so the highest bidder wins, or in some cases it is set to buy it now for the price the seller wants for the part. Not all auctions are for used parts, some are new. In some cases it is still hard to find the part you may be searching for, for instance if you are looking for mint condition original parts for an older model you may not have much room to negotiate the price with the seller. By entering the right search you will be able to find refurbished parts at a cheaper rate than you would new ones. Things like carburetors can be rebuilt and sold again, with just as good condition as a new one. The beauty of going through an online auction to find a seller for your car parts is that you can opt to have buyer protection on your parts when they are shipped to you, or you can choose to do a local pick up if the item is within your driving range. If the item is shipped to you, you also have the option for shipping insurance. rnrnYou will notice that some of the online sellers actually have small businesses, some are stores, and others salvage yards. You want to know who you are purchasing from. If it is a store you can feel confident that they will stand behind their product, however if it is a junk yard or a personal seller you should inquire about their policies. You should always know what their return policy is if it is the wrong part, damaged, or not the quality you were expecting. Most online sellers will give you at least a 14 day return policy.
