To prevent your visitors from confusion in your website, exclude the redirect pages in the website’s design. The way to do this is through your website’s navigation. You need to first decide what the people viewing your website are going to be looking for and what questions they will be asking so you can make the scheme of your navigation less confusing. Once you have decided on what the visitor’s interests will be you need to find a way to help them find their information and the answers to their questions. This way when they want to know something it will only be two clicks away instead of twenty. To help make it simpler, make it so your headers, navigation bars, and footers link directly to the main content. Then the main content area should link to information that the visitor is looking for, therefore the information they want is two clicks away. If you do have too many links people are likely to leave your site. No one wants to keep clicking on a different link searching for what they want to know, they will just go somewhere else where they can find the information fast. If they leave they are not happy which in turn is no good for you either. Make the website structure simple, that way when you do the navigation scheme it will be easier to make it clear for everyone. There are three ways to do a navigation scheme. There is no particular way to do the navigation of your website because it depends on the content you have. The three methods of navigation are linear navigation, database navigation, and hierarchical navigation. A linear navigation is this the simplest method, it is literally a linear method, the navigation moves straight through the website without having to go through other website content which is easiest for sites with a little information. A database navigation is when you start at on place and from there decide what content area you wish to go, which leads you to the information you want. The hierarchical navigation is when you are moving around the whole site to find what you need.
