Give Your Immune System 100% Support!

By: Chuck Arnone Home | Health-and-Fitness

The paradox is that antibiotics were developed to help the immune system, but in reality they actually impair it. This paradoxical effect was first noted in 1950, but couldn't be confirmed, and it was only in 1972 at the Baylor School of Medicine in Houston that it was documented that some antibiotics actually prevented white blood cells from attacking and killing bacteria. Organizational culture and political networks in organizations operate in an analogous way to the human immune system. When they are working well, they prevent bad thinking? Often, these agents target key immune system cells and cause secondary responses such as increased production of cytokines and immunoglobulins. Two nonspecific immunomodulating agents used in cancer treatment are bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG ) and levamisole.

What determines how they will affect you are the state of your emotional immune system: The defenses you have in place to keep that toxic stuff outside. Through a series of steps called the immune response, the immune system attacks organisms and substances that invade our systems and cause disease. The immune system is made up of a network of cells, tissues, and organs that work together to protect the body. For example, methotrexate (a prescription systemic medication used to treat psoriasis) binds to an enzyme involved in the rapid growth of cells that is triggered by the immune system response in psoriasis. The problem is methotrexate affects other systems in the body, too.

In addition, combining certain specific viral antigens such as distemper with adenovirus 2 (hepatitis) has been shown to influence the immune system by reducing lymphocyte numbers and responsiveness. In contrast, the innate immune system does not demonstrate immunological memory. However, if the immune system is stressed and not functioning properly, a cancer cell may multiply before the immune system has a chance to kill it. Once a whole tumor has grown, it becomes difficult, if not impossible, for the immune system to fight it.

My immune system is down as a way of speaking. But the main thing is that you have been through so much, your life has been disrupted and derailed. Together these processes dictate where and to what extent the immune system exerts its influence. Advanced vertebrate animals, a group that includes humans, defend themselves against such microorganisms by means of a complex group of defense responses collectively called the immune system.

Antibodies alone are not capable of killing infectious agents; however, the antigen-specific antibodies help to control disease by binding the infectious agents for destruction by the complement or phagocyte immune systems. They can also attach to and neutralize toxins produced by infectious agents. Allergies result from immune system hypersensitivity to weak antigens that do not cause an immune response in most people. Allergens, substances that cause allergies, include dust, molds, pollen, cat dander, certain foods, and some medicines (such as penicillin). In most cases, the immune system does a great job of keeping people healthy and preventing infections. The immune system's problems can lead to illness and infection.

The organs involved with the immune system are called the lymphoid organs, which affect growth, development, and the release of lymphocytes (a certain type of white blood cell). The blood vessels and lymphatic vessels are important parts of the lymphoid organs, because they carry the lymphocytes to and from different areas in the body. The goal is to kick-start the body's immune system by "provoking" it with the bacteria, which are modified to trigger an attack on the cancer. Stanley Tan of Loma Linda University in California have been studying the effects of laughter on the immune system. To date their published studies have shown that laughing lowers blood pressure, reduces stress hormones, increases muscle flexion, and boosts immune function by raising levels of infection-fighting T-cells, disease-fighting proteins called Gamma-interferon and B-cells, which produce disease-destroying antibodies.

Science may one day succeed in solving all the secrets of the immune system and even produce a similar artificial system by imitating the actions of these cells. No doubt, this task will require highly educated professionals using the most sophisticated technology and instruments available, working in highly advanced laboratories. While there is no scientific evidence that taking echinacea daily for months is harmful, moderation is still the main component for improvement. Another theoretical concern is that any drug that tampers with the genetic material of a virus cell (as echinacea does) could also affect the genetic material of cells in the body or could cause viruses to change genetically and become more resistant and more virulent. These defenses comprise our so-called innate immune system. Similar defense strategies are found in lower animals, and they can be seen as early evolutionary solutions to deal with infectious diseases.

Each of the cells in the innate immune system binds to antigen using pattern-recognition receptors. These receptors are encoded in the germ line of each person. Sometimes the immune system attacks the animal it belongs to. This causes an autoimmune disease, such as rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile diabetes and many other serious diseases. Today, in the 21st century, we have advanced immune boosters or immunomodulators that can jumpstart your immune system. The key is to balance your God given immune system to get it working more efficiently and now there is something that can help you.
