By: Kim Medeiros Home | News-and-Society | Relationships

We all know how popular flowers are with weddings and a lot of people put in flowers for practically everything from the bridal bouquet to the wedding entrance arch to the decoration on the pews of the church and even as table centerpieces. It's everywhere imaginable and wedding organizers and planners load up on flowers with the reason they are beautiful. Flowers are no doubt beautiful and make the perfect decoration for any event but unless you have a Swiss bank account with a good load of cash stashed in it for your wedding day, flowers cost you an arm and a leg. Costly floral routes are not the norm of most weddings as more and more couples are using other less expensive and equally creative ways as centerpieces.

For a sweet touch, how about adding printed glass candy jars are centerpieces? You can start by printing the selected glass candy jars of your choice with the date and the married couple's name. These glass candy jars can be of any size as long as it fits your imprinted message and shapes can be from glass bowls, oversized goblet jars, pitcher sized and anything else that strikes your fancy. After deciding on the shape of the jar as well as the message, now its time to fill these jars up with anything you like.

From colorful jelly beans to sugared almonds and chocolate coated nuts, your guests will enjoy munching on them as well as admired the creativity that was put in for this type of centerpiece. Apart from filling the printed glass candy jars with candy, you can also extend your creativity by placing in votive candles or pillar candles into the candy jar but without the cover. These jars work perfectly with candles. The candles create the perfect warm ambience for the wedding whereas the glass jars compliment the candles by providing the necessary luxurious and elegant feel and that unique glitter and shine.

You can also fill printed glass candy jars with sweet smelling and multi-colored potpourri. For the extra touch and if your candy jars are big enough, why not fill them up with water and put the potpourri in so that it floats. Tea light candles can also be added in as it floats at the top of the water surface. The combination of potpourri with tea light candles gives a romantic feel for the guests seated at the table and gives a unique experience for the whole reception decoration.

Apart from printed glass candy jars, you can also paint these glass candy jars with oil glass paint. If you have the time, you can paint these glass candy jars by yourself of you can send it to professional who do the painting. All you need to provide them is the message that you want to be painted on as well as the image you want. Painted glass candy jars are a great centerpiece especially if you put in a tea light candle inside it as it lights up the jar and creates a warm and colorful ambiance that is pleasing to the eye.
