Go Go Ultra - Be Independent With The Mobility Scooter

By: Clint Jhonson Home | Home-and-Family | Elderly-Care

Driving a car to work or for shopping or visiting relatives and friends may not be possible for the elderly, due to the weakening of arms and legs, weak eyesight, loss of hearing, and even arthritis. Even a walk to the park or around the garden or backyard may be problematic, leading to dependence on others for assistance. If elderly people live with their children, they have to depend on them to drive them to the park, or for shopping, or visiting the doctor, and sometimes, even to move around in the garden or backyard. If the elderly live alone, it becomes a bigger problem as loss of mobility and the ability to walk or drive a car is a hindrance to daily activities. People suffering from arthritis or other disabilities, which inhibit mobility, can use electric mobility scooters like the Go Go ultra and Go Go Elite, to move freely and be independent.

An elderly person or an individual with a disability or handicap can easily drive the scooter and move around by using the throttle and the tiller or handlebars. The throttle to manage speed is hand controlled and requires very little pressure, which makes it very easy and convenient for any individual. As the maximum speed attained with these scooters is around 5 miles per hour, there is no chance of an accident occurring due to speeding or losing control over the throttle. The scooters are designed and built for safety, comfort, and ease of use. The scooters can even be disassembled to take along on a vacation in the car and reassembled easily in minutes for use at the vacation spot. As the scooters are battery powered, they do not need gasoline, and the batteries just need to be charged with the charger unit through a standard electric power supply unit. Being light in overall weight, even with the 12 AH and optional 17 AH batteries, the Go Go ultra and Go Go Elite, are easy to manage and maintain.

The seating of the scooters is not like the conventional scooters and the mobility scooters are not designed and built like the conventional two-wheeled scooters. In fact, the mobility scooters are built with three and four wheels for better stability and ease of use. The seating is a swivel seat and can be adjusted for driving comfort. The scooters are also fitted with headlights and backlights for driving in the evening and also include a basket on the handlebars to carry a few things like groceries or even your puppy. Although the Go Go ultra and the Go Go Elite weigh around 92 pounds, they can carry a maximum weight of 260 pounds. The mobility scooters are reliable and well engineered and give years of problem free service. But the best part of these scooters is the Independence and mobility that they provide to the elderly and people with disabilities.
