Going Out Of The Box With Your Posters

By: Kaitlyn Miller Home | Business | Advertising

Have you ever really been adventurous with your poster printing? Have you really thought of innovative poster designs to get that unique or original color poster? Or are you just using the same old traditional poster printing and template design as you have always done? If you really want to do something new, I suggest you think out of the box when dealing with your poster printing. You have to think beyond the usual rules in color posters to get something really special.

In this article, I’m going to give you five tips to get you in the right direction. If you really want to go â€out of the box†just read the tips below.

†There are more than just rectangular posters †The usual shape of color posters is the rectangle right? Well, if you think out of the box, that shape can easily be changef to something unique and eye catching. Why don’t you try printing square posters instead? Or maybe you want to try circle posters, oblong posters or even posters shaped like iconic symbols like a Christmas tree. It is a simple change but it can have a huge effect on your poster design and printing. It might also be your key to getting your posters noticed.

†Inks can have other properties †You might think that poster printing ink is just that, ink. However, there are different types of inks that have other properties that can make the poster look special. A simple example for this is the use of metallic inks. A metallic ink is a special ink that gleams in the light much like metal. So your poster text or object will look like it is made of metal. This can have quite an effect on your poster design. It is something beyond the usual options for poster printing, but you should consider it to add that magical effect to your posters.

†Posters can go in 3 dimensions †Posters also do not have to be flat. Yes indeed! Posters can go in three dimensions if need be. By using the simple process of embossing, you can lift designs right out of the poster making them look more real. You will even get some natural shadow effects in your posters because of it making it look quite great.

†Shift your perceptions and angles †You might also want to think a little bit askew. Instead of plain straight lines in your designs and right side up pictures, why don’t you turn things around? You can place images upside down, or even askew on an angle so that people will stop and stare a bit longer at your color poster. By shifting the perception, you basically make the design quite unusual and quite eye catching making for an effective poster design.

So what are you waiting for? Why not go out of the box with your poster designs? It can have a great impact with your poster printing. Good Luck!
